It’s just amazing how we learn new things every day, whether in school,at our places of work at home which is a good thing and that bit makes life very intresting.I often called this typa shirt a chineese collar because this design is common in asian countries and china to be very specific.
A mandarin collar as its also called is a short unfolded stand-up collar style on a shirt or jacket. Mandarin collars start at the neckline and typically rise vertically two to five centimeters. The style derives its Western name from the gowns worn by Mandarins in Imperial China.
The length along a mandarin collar is straight, with either straight or rounded edges at top of the centre front. The edges of the collar either barely meet at the centre front or overlap slightly. Overlapping mandarin collars are often a continuation of a shirt’s placket and have a button on the collar to secure the two sides of the shirt as with the metallic button on this one.I love this particular shirt because of its color and the simple collar design that requires no ccessories;it basically steals all the attention from an ensemble.Paired it up with a dark grey pencil skirt whose pocket detail are finer than fine ♥♡♥.I have had this botton-down sweater for the longest time ever, which blends in well with the mustard.
These lovely brogue heels summed up my look.Did i mention how comfy they are..absolutely love them
